Our senior designer who has been with Smartpack Creativ for over ten years has shared with our blog followers a traditional Egyptian vegetarian dish from her birth country. Ghadear left Egypt at the age of eleven and this is one of her favourite dishes her grandmother used to make. New Side opening oven from IAG

Somebody has been thinking! IAG supplied by Home Appliance Group ( the third largest appliance company in Australia) has introduced an oven with a side opening door. The door can be easily swapped from left to right opening with the door kit supplied with each oven. The triple glazed door and the controls are cooled by a linear fan which keeps the door cool to touch even when cooking at 200 degrees.

The great advantage for people who have trouble leaning over to lift a dish out of the oven or have back problems, can now get closer to the oven. The oven can now match the microwave in look with the side opening door. and can be installed at benchtop level or as an underbench oven. This 60L electric oven has 9 functions including telescopic adjustable pullout racks and a finger mark resistant stainless steel.

The multi function features of this Italian well priced oven please go to our appliance recommendation by clicking this link.

Designer Gloss with chip resistant edge is the new rage!

There are always new products on the market for decorative surfaces both domestic and commercial including custom kitchen renovations. Gloss products other than the traditional gloss polyurethane have been making a comeback and we are featuring on the Smartpack blog a new acrylic finshed board product. The gloss level is so high it seems as if it is poured onto the board and being a board product, it is easily cut to size and edged for a modern kitchen design
Kitchen_003
The new high gloss acrylic board called “Designer Gloss” by Gunnersens is being used to make doors with a 1mm matching or 2mm silver chip resistant CAD edge.
The flatness of the surface of the moisture resistant E0 MDF board gives the gloss a mirror finish appearance. The Environmental rating of E0 means that there is a minimal emmission of formaldahyde from the board (the best environmental rating).
